As you know we've been looking for pictures for the new zoid bios just recently put up, and we got them from the very skilled Stompy! Check out the Storch, Saicurtis, Guntiger, and Saberlion bios to see these AMAZING pictures!

New...Zoids! Don 09.21.2005
What?! How can this be...its unheard of! Thats right, NEW zoids have been added to Metal Machine Musics already massive roster. The four new zoids include the Gun tiger and Saber Lion as level 2's, and the Saicurtis and the Storch as level 3's!

These new zoids are currently available for purchase AND battling and can also be rented like any other zoid of their class, however at the moment there are no parts for these new zoids since parts will need to be specially designed and fitted to their chasis! This includes the specialty level 1-2 parts that are supposed to work with "all" leve 1-2 zoids. Fear not, for parts will be setup for these zoids sooner then later and it'll be well worth the wait!

Ontop of that, you may notice that none of these zoids have pictures! well, If you wanna help MMM and get your name on the site, you can donate YOUR pictures of these zoids to us! Simply send me an IM, PM, or e-mail with your picture, where you got it and who to credit and it'll be done! Enjoy!

Hey Everybody!

Couple of things today, firstly, those on the forums already know. But the last of the standard zoids, along with the transports have been updated! Check them out and expect Blox updates soon!

Also, our front page has some new affiliates listed! Phenotypes Zoids site, Generation Zi, and The GZC.

Phenotypes lists a great deal of official information, as well as images of the models and CP units. This is a must have site for all zoid fans, they have the best in zoid news and information!

Next is Generation Zi, a wonderfully designed zoids RPG with a great deal of media on the site. This is the only site I've ever found with the zoids series music available! Check em out!

And last but certainly not least, The GZC, the first american all flash zoids site I've ever seen, they debute 5/11/05, so check them out and be in awe of the excellent site design and pretty flashness!

So now that the huge updates over, what to expect next? Well the transport bios are FINALLY being done, and blox are on the table to do next. Following that we'll work on NEW zoid bios, as in, new zoids for MMM. So everybody be good and supportive of the staff so they work hard and finish off our current projects!

Also, a more >_> personal matter...Some people have been bashing MMM. This isn't anything new, its been going on for a long time really. But I have this to say. You can bash us all you want, say whatever you want, and try to act great. But at the end of the day, our system is still better, our community is still larger, our staff is still more competant, and our site is still better. We've been here for three years, and god willing, we'll be here for many more. If you want to talk trash, go ahead. At the end of the day, we still know the score.

A guidelines/information post has been made in Bio Critique that will assist prospective applicants in creating a character. Of course, you still have to read the rules, but here is the guidelines/information post. You must have a forum account before submitting a character application. The new character application format is in the listed guideline/information post, and in order to read that post you need a forum account to begin with. Why? By including a forum account I am able to "activate" your account immediately upon acceptance, thus taking away the delay between acceptance and starting your first battle on Metal Machine Music.

Tsunami Disaster Dave 2005-1-04
As I'm sure you know, thousands of people across many countries recently lost their lives to one of the largest earthquakes in recent history. For those who haven't:

One of the 4th largest earthquake this century, rated around 9.0 on the rickter scale, struck Indonesia on Monday December 27th. It created 30 ft Tsunami (tidal waves) that swept through South East Asia and even as far reaching Africa, totaling 11 countries, causing the death of over 100,000+. This does not include the many whom have lost their homes and livelihood, and the probable outbreak of disease due to poor sanitation. You can read more about this on any news website.

Our good friends over at Action-HQ are staying true to their namesake, and are indeed, taking action. Action-HQ and Tak Li / Hyperchild would like to assist in this disaster relief by auctioning off 2 Hong Kong limited edition gold Spiderman statuettes. Only 200 pcs were made and they are "not for sale" and available only through promotion. Each is numbered on the bottom of the base.

As I posted, were having a coding problem with our applications page, so all of the apps being sent aren't reaching me. So we'll get old school and go manual on this.

Speaking of giving thanks, I'd like to thank absolutely everyone for being so supportive during the whole site crash crisis. It really meant quite a bit. Few, if any, complained, and everyone was more than willing to help with reconstruction. Well thank you, to all of you. Big things are coming down the pipe, lots of them, and you'll see them in time, don't worry. Have some patience and you'll be rewarded, trust me.

Some of you may have noticed that an update on the site is missing, and that the forums are down. This has happened before, and is almost considered normal here on MMM. I am sorry to say that this time, things are serious. Our service provider, www.fuitadnet.com, recently had a server crash, the server that MMM was on. Some could be recovered, which is pretty much what you see in front of you, but that excludes the forums. Yes, the forums are gone, completely. What does this mean? We've lost next to everything in terms of the game. Zoids records, staff discussion, transcripts, battle records, everything. This is a sad day in MMM history, and I'm sorry to say I don't know where it's going to lead us. I've put two and a half years into this website, and to watch it all crash and burn in an instant is rather hard for me. I just don't know what's going to happen. So for now, we wait. Wait and see what happens, because something will eventually, but there's no telling what. If reconstruction to to proceed, then there's a ton of work ahead of us, a literally incredible amount, but that remains to be seen. After so much, I'm not sure reconstruction is even possible, but you'll know soon enough. Until then, I suggest you go over the the MMM backup boards created by our own Big Al at http://s7.invisionfree.com/MMM_Backup_Board/index.php?act=idx. I'll keep you updated as time goes on, everyone. Thank you for your support through all the years, through all the ups and downs, but this is our biggest obsticle yet, and despite everything we've gotten through, this one is still up in the air. Death Cat RevampedCedric 2004-10-07
The Death Cat has been totally revamped and revised. It lost some stuff, gained some other stuff, and is hopefully a much better Zoid now, especially because it's available for purchase.

Yes, you heard right. The Death Cat is no longer evolution-exclusive, so all you people who have been drooling over it are more than welcome to go buy yourselves one.

The only modifications for it are the Strike Laser Claws and Dracula's Kiss, though.

Money Stuff Cedric 2004-09-30
Yes, funds are being reset. If you have more than $100,000, the available funds you have to spend on Zoids and parts goes down to $100,000. Note, though, that the balance of the funds is still available for roleplaying purposes, so for example, if you wanted to build a base or customize a transport (strictly for RP purposes, of course), there's nothing stopping you. You could even open some kind of a business...just can't spend it on Zoids or parts.

Now, to go along with it, all Zoid and parts prices sitewide are being cut in half until the staff determines a fair price for them. That means that level 5 Zoids are now $25,000 instead of $50,000, and so on. Bear in mind that the original prices may still be up on the site for quite a while...but you only have to pay half. The parts and Zoid shop moderators will be responsible for keeping track of that.

Last, but not least, there will now be regular periods of time where certain parts or Zoids go on sale. For example, all Liger-type Zoids, or all AF-series parts. The exact discount and timing of the sales will be up to the staff, of course.

Ok, two things! Firstly, theres been a problem with the paint shop, namely people AREN'T using it. Theres been a misconception that you can say your zoid is whatever color you want it to be when you get it, thats not the truth. When you get a new zoid, its standard paint color. If you trade for someone elses zoid that was painted already, then you keep that paint job until you change it in the paint shop. ALL paint changes, large or small, MUST go through the paint shop. At this time we will ask that anybody who has painted their zoid without paying post in the paint shop and subtract their funds accordingly, failure to do this will result in maaaaaaassive fining.

Onto more fun news, were getting ALOT of good applications so far! But I noticed that some of you are resending e-mails telling me to add info. If you leave something out of your application please resubmit it as a REVISED application. Also, just like with characters, you cannot use pre exsisting storylines from ANY series either, and you must stick to the sites history. The sites game is not the same as the TV series, the backdraft only appeared in MMM recently, and we don't have space exploration, so those of you wanting to be backdraft or come from another planet be SOL on that one. If you submitted an app like this, please resubmit a new app! And remember, I take bribes! ;D

Two days, two good pieces of news in a row! First of all dave was able to repair the forums last night after I got the FTP working, and after that Tom corrected an error I made in the HTML to get the applications link working again! So after a long wait, applications AND the forums work as well as the FTP once more! Go team! :D

So, with applications open, its time to remind everybody of what you should do to get into this mighty site known as MetalMachineMusic!

1. No copyrighted characters or names, that includes basing character off copywritten materials. IE, we don't want to see any sephiroths, Bit clouds, Van Fleyheights, Keto Saibas, etc. Be original with your characters name and story! Characters who are heavily based off of pre exsisting characters will be deleted without response.

Keep your storys around three paragraphs long, if its a little longer, thats fine, but I litterally have HUNDREDS of applications to go through a day! Try to design your bio with the three basic things. Introduction, Character background, Reason for being a pilot. Characters physical description is VERY helpful.

Finally, make sure you read the rules so you know what zoids you can put into your application! If you ask for the wrong type of zoids in your application, it will be deleted without a response.

Now, you might be asking what WILL get a response. Thats things like simply character errors where we feel the character could benefit from being written differently. Also, characters that are just poorly written out or explained may get an e-mail. As well as heavy spelling errors. Remember, MMM is a text site, and its our policy to enforce atleast decent typing and gramatical skills so that people can UNDERSTAND you, that means no internet shorthand or slang.

Once you've sent in an application, go make a profile in our forums right away and begin posting as a citizen. Thats the best way to get familiar with the site and the game quickly well you wait to get accepted! Applications will remain open as long as I can handle them. I start colloege on the 16th, and depending on how hard my classes are will determin how long they stay open. Good luck to all those who apply to the site! Well, not the world so much as just the forum and the front page. I went ahead and fixed the right click thingy on the front page, I also got rid of the dead link to a former affiliate, added a link to the chatroom in the lower left hand menu, deleted the months and months of old news, and made things shiney and nice in general. Problems with pilots and KC zoids RPG Don 05.06.2004
With the coming of new pilots, always comes a time of learning, a time when pilots adjust from previous RPG's to this one, and in the two years that this RPG has exsisted, throughout the numerous praises we've recieved, and the thousands of members we've had, it has never been a problem.

However, with the arrival of members from KC rpg, we face a different situation. KC rpg has another zoids RPG that was created by a person who was banned from MMM, the site has been around for a year and is, most admittedly, a clone of MMM riding off of the success of our site by mimicing it as closely as it can, so much so that KC RPG asked to use our AIM based battle system, and at one point was issued a warning for copying some of our sites unique information. Now, this does not make KC rpg a bad website by any stretch of the imagination, infact they are one of the only zoid RPG's outside of MMM to have survived the gruely first few months of its exsistence, in which an RPG and its members are tested.

However, this does not excuse what we've been dealing with and hearing about here at MMM. On two seperate occasions, KC rpg members have violated the rules heavily, and in the most recent incident, the pilot tried to aggrivate the judge, and outright refused to accept a fine he was issued. This is unbelievably unacceptable, and is infact quiet shocking. All MMM members know better then this, except for KC rpg member it seems. We relieze that not all KC rpg members are causing problems, and infact some of MMM's long term members are on KC staff and were quiet pleased to have them here (hey there Tarsus ^~), but the continued harrasement of our judges, and the number of time KC rpg members have come into question on this site is unacceptable. We've even found that Kai has been telling KC rpg members negative things about MMM, infact, an exact quote from one of the people was "MMM are nuttin but some dam smucks thinkin the own everyone". We will not tolerate any abuse of our judges, nor will we tolerate badmouthing of our site. To be truthful, I'm shocked KC would say anything negative about MMM, especially considering a few things...

Like when I left MMM for a short time, he desperatly tried to recruit me for his site. He told me his staff was incompetant and he really needed someone to organize the site. He later told me when I rejoined MMM that he wished his staff were smarter so his site could be more like MMM. Later he spammed Christian, a former MMM staff member so severely that he agreed to help KC organize their role playing part of the site.

It seems pretty outrageous that Kai would be so incredibly two faced to his own members. Because of the incidents that have happened, the most recent offender will most likely be banned. We are hoping ALL new members will stay around and be a productive part of MMM, but when pilots use their experiences at other RPG's as an excuse to attack our judges, steps must be taken. To help ease new pilots into MMM, a new revised version of ALL MMM rules will be posted within the next week, listing all rules applying to everything from attitude in the forum to the finer points of battling their opponents.

It is our hope that KC members, new pilots, and old pilots of MMM can work togather and enjoy one of the largest role playing communities on the web. We encourage everybody to find new teams, enjoy both the AIM battles and battle arena system, and to make new friends and find something they can enjoy here. Alright, me boyos. Us at the Council of Paris (TM!) have churned out some brand spanking new parts for ya. The Council, composed of Cedric Hasten, Blade Hyperion, Mac Nad Vatra, Yokoraima Kaminari, and I have taken out the next 10 of our group of 30 for you. Boy, you flyboys are in for a treat- most of these are flyer parts. But, we got some nice ones for you. For instance, the Magnum- for you Slash Liger pilots out there. Or, better yet, the Valkyrie Cannons, to give your zoid a positively mediEVIL edge. Then, we have the Sunfire Cannons, to make your Gator a deadly weapon- HEY, YOU! HALT WITH THE SNICKERING! Yep, there are some goodies in this batch. Have fun!

Oh, have I got an update for you! Our very own James Ravada has taken charge of creating an Air Combat Tutorial for all you apsiring Air pilots out there. In addition, he's gone off and made us a funky new Aerial combat system, the nuts and bolts of which can be found here. You'll need to look at both if you ever plan on becoming an Air zoid pilot.

Major Parts Update Vatra 7.02.03
Ugh. It took me a while, but yes, there has been a major parts update. The parts bios have been redone, official and exclusive, and are up and done special thanks to Paris, Cedric Hasten, Blade Hyperion, Yokoraima Kaminari, and Mac nad Vatra. There have been part price increases on the Wild Weasel Unit and the Omni-Directional Missile Unit. The heavy vulcan set has been removed from the parts, meaning, if you have a heavy vulcan you get a refund for $6,500 automatically and you remove it from your sig., this goes for the dual heavy vulcan gun ($13,000) as well.

Yay dons back! and as promised Player applications will be open today (Monday June 30th) until next sunday (July 6th), However there is a slight hitch, as I need my update monkey Tom to get on and setup the applications dealie at the top, so watch out for that! Some of you cleaver people have already sent me in applications...and thats fine, but don't do it anymore, not until the player apps open thingie appears at the top of the page. Some things to remember when sending in applications are.

Keep your character original
we prefer members with RPing Expereince
Don't send in one like Bios about your characters parents being dead.
Don't send in multiple applications if you've already been denied.

Follow these guidelines and you'll be sure to get into the site, I've already denied several people on the basis of there bio being incredibly poorly written, and for there characters resembling characters from other series. The first batch of bios will go up this thursday, and then the second and last batch on the following monday, to all those of you who get in, congratulations! to those who didn't, better luck next time.

Yes, it's me. A more defined version of a guide to explosive projectiles has been created. It's in the weapons guide under a new section called Missiles/Rockets/Mortars inbetween Long-Range weapons and Short Range and Misc. Weapons. Community News and Royal Cup Updates DJ Christian 6.24.03
Nuts and bolts type update here, boys n' girls. The links page has been updated with a new fansite and a new RPG; Zoids Vs. Companion Site and Next Century Zoids; respectively. Also, I added a kickin' big banner linking to Digitally Imported; because I love them so damned much. High doses of Trance Music get yer uncle Christian through the day. Also, right here on the news page there are two new featured sites; both of them Web Comics: Megatokyo and VGCats. I suggest you check out both, because both kick ass and will own you if you do not respect their ass kicking ability!

On the interior front; the Royal Cup is proceeding nicely. The first round finished up late yesterday afternoon and the Firestorm Ruins, Mirage Team, Nightfall Dragoons, and Zephyr Teams have all advanced to the second round which will begin presumably sometime today. You'll notice that the info for the ZX Tournament is still there, but now it has info for the up coming Royal Cup Tournament as well. Of course, we'll still keep him around in a dank cage as a lab monkey to perform gruesome experiments on and such; it'll be good fun. Anyway, like the tyrannical ex-president exclaimed, we've got alot of good stuff coming down the pike. Namely, the Royal Cup which should kick off on or around June 19th; a section for the Royal Cup will be available in the Info Section shortly. After the Royal Cup, we will finally be opening up player registrations again. The reason we've been waiting so long to do this is because over the last few months, we've been hacking away at hammering out a new player management system which will be implimented after the Royal Cup. We decided it best to let newbies in after this takes effect so they only have to worry about the new system. Rather than trying to adjust to the current system, then be thrown into the new one.

All in all, it should be an eventful summer at the MMM Ranch, with lots of new junk available for everybody to get a bite of; including a few more new Zoids, new parts, the mysterious Stox Zoids, and brand spankin' new sections of the main site for everybody's enjoyment. We'll be sure to keep you updated. *pokes Nixon with a caddle prod*
